First Meeting

Wow. It is September Already!! I hope everyone had a great summer! Our meetings will be held on Monday Nights....this ended up being the only day that fit into my work schedule. With our very first meeting being Sept. 14th. This is a special meeting. It is a Bring a Friend Night. Bring a friend that is not a Girl Scout that you think would enjoy Girl Scouts with you!

Letterboxing

July 26th we will be Meeting at Miss Cindy's house to learn about letterboxing. The girls will be learning about letterboxing and making their own personal stamp. We will also spend a little time reading maps and discussing safety while letterboxing.
**please bring with you a plastic pencil box
and a simple design idea for your stamp

August 9th we will be meeting to go find a few Letterboxes in the area. I will have location details on 7/26 for you.

Girl Scouts Take Action!

This upcoming April will mark the 100th Anniversary of Girl Scouting. We are trying to get Congress to pass a commemorative coin being minted to celebrate! Can you help? It only takes 4 minutes to complete. Please share this with all of your family and friends...you don't have to be a Girl Scout to help!

We need your immediate assistance to spread the word to your friends, family and other Girl Scout supporters about the Commemorative Coin legislation. Encourage them to sign up at GirlScouts4girls.org TODAY.



Together, we can advocate for a Commemorative Coin that will be a lasting symbol of Girl Scouts' 100th Anniversary!

Going Green...Newsletter

Junior Troop 4223

In an effort to “Be Green” and help do our part to reduce waste…I am going to communicate as much as possible through the internet. That way, if you absolutely need to have a printed copy you can print one. Therefore, excess paper won’t be needed….saving a few trees!

**Registration is due with $12 fee if you have not already given that to Nancy Grimm.
**I need an Assistant Leader!!!
**Dues for the year will be $40 per girl. This can be paid all at once, or over time. Which ever works best for you! Checks are payable to: GSEP Troop 4223.
**We will be meeting on Monday evenings 6:30pm-8pm at Rainbow Elementary School. I am not sure when we will be in the new building. Tentative schedule to come.
